Ireland 20.03.2009-28.03.2009

"I belong to the faubourg Saint-Patrice called Ireland for short." James Joyce

It was my second trip to Ireland and I hope not the last one. Last year I felt in love with this country and with the people there. Lough Derg was waiting as we let it last year behind us, maybe more windie and colder ( water temperature 8,9 - 9, 2 °C ) than september 2008. This was also one of the major fishing problems cause we went out on the lake only 3 days out of 7 cause of the high waves. Most of the pike was in shallow water cause the spawning period is aproaching. I could see some great fish on the fishfinder and I also caught some pike, biggest was about 16lp. heavy and 106 cm long. Best lures, like always castaic, bomber long A and some good old irish copper spoons.
The other days we took some trips to Galway, Athenry and Limerick and of course we drank Guinness and irish whisky in the pub listening to irish music. Next year hopefully the lough will be as generous with us like everytime. For the delight of the eye a few pictures.
